Research and Breeding Institute of Pomology Holovousy, Ltd.

Founded in 1951, VŠÚO was renamed in 1997. It is the only research institute in the Czech Republic focusing on the fruit species of the temperate climate zone. During its almost seventy-year-long history, the institute’s efforts have been on applied research and development.
